Son and Garden Afternoon Tea: A Fanciful Delight for Any Season

🥐🥐🥐🥐🥐 (5/5)

Son and Garden is well known for their fanciful decor, creative cocktails, and selfie-worthy vignettes. Their afternoon tea, which changes seasonally, lives up to their high standards of pleasing aesthetic paired with yumminess. The downside? It’s only offered on weekdays, not weekends. If you find yourself with an odd weekday off or want to take a break to treat yourself, I strongly recommend this experience. As an afternoon tea connoisseur, I really appreciate that Son and Garden takes the experience to the next level with their theming.

I have been to Son and Garden afternoon tea three times and have experienced the follow themes: Sakura Blossom (spring), Alice in Wonderland (summer), and Breakfast at Tiffany’s (fall).

Although I give Son and Garden a perfect score for theme, their tea selection is limited relative to other tea rooms I’ve been too and comes only in pre-bagged form as opposed to loose leaf. I think having more tea options, especially flavored teas and maybe even teas that match the desired theme (which was done for the Sakura blossom teas but not the others), would really elevate the afternoon tea experience. That said, if you want to have a unique and beautiful afternoon tea experience with seemingly interminable tiny treats on a weekday afternoon, Son and Garden is the spot for you!
