Low-budget, high pageantry costumes was one of my first inspirations for cataloguing my adventures through a blog. This year, I throughly enjoyed Halloween weekend with a different costume for each day of festivities.
Friday was a quiet night in watching a horror movie with my partner so I surprised him with my sexiest ensemble of the weekend: a Promising Young Woman costume featuring a stripper version of a nurse’s outfit and a rainbow wig. He was so surprised and impressed with the costume that he thought I’d actually dyed my hair (which, to be fair, is totally something I would do). My Halloween (and whenever) life pro-tip for fellow modestly chested women like myself: push-up bras and casually squeezing your cleavage together by hugging yourself. Because what are costumes without a little false advertising? I did this trick (or treat) in my selfies above and used poses (like twirling my hair) to make it look very casual and nonchalant while emphasizing my enhanced cleavage.
My partner and I did our first couples’ costume together this year for our Saturday at Outsidelands: PB&J. This costume slayed! We easily had a hundred or more strangers sing Peanut Butter Jelly Time to us or compliment our costume. It was simple and adorable and it totally worked for us.

I ended the weekend with wine tasting in Napa where I wore a mermaid dress paired with a fun wine-colored hat. Cheers to a beautiful weekend of costumes and fully vaccinated fun and merriment! 🎃
