The start of 2021 was very rough for me, as I’m sure it was for so many living in a pandemic world for so long. I felt like I needed a change in my life and that my hair would be a great canvas for that change. I started by getting a haircut and color for the first time in a year and began with a beautiful rose gold base that looked even prettier than the picture I showed the stylist. But as that rose gold began to fade, I decided to try out overtone products to see if I could make more elaborate hair color combos that I could refresh myself at home. And dear reader, making exciting color combos I did!
My goal was to make a peach ombre on my naturally blond hair and I accomplished this using Overtone’s rose gold, vibrant red, ginger, magenta, and pastel pink to make a shade I have affectionately named: Princess Peach.
I love how this hair color turned out! It has a lot of dimension and it’s very fiery, which is exactly what I was going for. Overtone works by simply applying a conditioner than contains the dye/color of choice, letting it sit for about 15 minutes and then rinsing out. As a blonde I have an easy base to color over but overtone also has products for brown hair specifically. Here’s to having some fun and trying new things in 2021!
