DIY Spa Bathroom

After moving into a new apartment with a tub after being tub-less, I was inspired to create the spa bathroom of my dreams! My spa bathroom design includes: a tub stocked with fun bath products, a TV, cute artwork and tchotchkes, a rotating stand and a boba-themed mini fridge for skincare products. Most nights, after being a required onsite worker as a chemist in a biotech/pharma company during a pandemic, I come home and enjoy a nice bath while unwinding with a TV favorite of the moment (some of my current picks include Firefly Lane on Netflix and Good Trouble on Hulu). My routine either includes a bath bomb, bubble bath, or a hot/jacuzzi-like temperature bath while using skincare products such as face masks and moisturizers in parallel.

My enjoyment of bath bombs is well documented here:

My DIY Spa Setup:

TV with relaxing spa YouTube video, Monet Water Lilies Candle from Fragrant Jewels, bidet toilet
Tub setup with bath pillow, collection of bath products (soap, lotion, scrubs), face masks, candle, decorative succulent plant, and of course a fun bath bomb!

Products I recommend for your own DIY spa experience: bath bombs! Scrubs for exfoliation (can be a DIY sugar scrub), fun-scented soaps (e.g. from Rituals or Bath and Body Works), moisturizer/lotion (such as Lush’s in shower Ro’s Argon Moisturizer). Really whatever products smell good or make you feel relaxed will be a great match for your next DIY spa night!
