Beware the Ides of March

In addition to celebrating Pi Day and St. Patrick’s Day, I love celebrating the Ides of March, March 15. The Ides of March is a reference to Shakespeare’s rendition of Caesar’s assassination:

  • SoothsayerBeware the ides of March.
  • CaesarWhat man is that?
  • BrutusA soothsayer bids you beware the ides of March.105
  • CaesarSet him before me; let me see his face.
  • CassiusFellow, come from the throng; look upon Caesar.
  • CaesarWhat say’st thou to me now? speak once again.
  • SoothsayerBeware the ides of March.
  • CaesarHe is a dreamer; let us leave him: pass.

In honor of the Ides of March, I like to do Roman/Grecian-themed hair and make-up styles complete with braids, a laurel wreath, gold jewelry, and a flowy dress fit for a goddess.
